What’s Included
✔ Free Delivery – Every shed includes free mileage for the first 50 miles from the closest Yoder’s lot (Penrose or Walsenburg, CO). If your delivery exceeds that distance or requires a pilot car, we’ll provide an affordable mileage quote.
✔ Professional Setup – Our delivery driver will level your shed on your prepared site; the first hour of leveling is included, and additional leveling time is billed at $100 per hour.
✔ Specialized Equipment – We use modern delivery trailers and shed movers designed to navigate tight spaces, narrow gates, and uneven terrain with precision.
✔ Clear Communication – Our delivery team will keep you updated and coordinate arrival details, ensuring your shed is placed exactly where you want it.
What You Can Do to Prepare
To ensure a smooth, safe delivery, please confirm the following before your scheduled date:
- Your site should be clear, level, and accessible; gravel, concrete, blocks or packed dirt are all acceptable foundations.
- Allow at least 18” of clearance on all sides of the shed path.
- Ground conditions must be firm enough to support delivery equipment and the shed.
- Remove obstacles, debris, and pets from the delivery area.
- If using blocks for leveling, they must be on-site prior to delivery. Our driver can place them if requested.
If you need help preparing your site, we can recommend trusted local partners for leveling, gravel pads, or concrete work.
Important Delivery Notes
In the event your property is too wet for delivery, please contact us the day before to reschedule. By requesting delivery, you authorize Yoder’s Storage Sheds to access and enter your property for placement of your building.
Yoder’s Storage Sheds is not responsible for the following during delivery or setup:
- Ruts, tracks, or surface damage to lawns, driveways, or sidewalks.
- Damage to trees, branches, or structures when clear access is not provided.
- Damage caused by unlevel pads, hidden obstructions, or poor ground conditions.
- Tow-truck or recovery costs if delivery equipment becomes stuck on your property.
- Damage to neighboring property or underground utilities (septic, cables, lines, etc.) not disclosed prior to delivery.
If delivery requires crossing neighboring property, written consent must be obtained before arrival.
Leveling & Setup
Your shed will be set in place and leveled, if requested, to ensure proper function and long term performance. The first hour of leveling is included at no cost. If leveling requires additional time due to uneven ground, block stacking, or site conditions, additional time will be billed at $100 per hour and paid directly to the driver.
Time is calculated beginning when the shed is removed from the trailer. Please note:
- Customers are responsible for providing leveling materials (such as concrete blocks or treated material).
- Our delivery driver can place and set the materials you provide.
- To avoid additional charges, we recommend preparing a level site before delivery.
This policy helps ensure timely delivery schedules and allows us to maintain fair and dependable service for all customers.
Delivery FAQ’s
Delivery is free for the first 50 miles from the closest Yoder’s lot; either Penrose, CO or Walsenburg, CO. Beyond that, delivery is calculated per loaded mile.
Your site should be clear, level, and accessible; gravel, concrete, blocks or packed dirt are all acceptable foundations.
If using blocks for leveling, they must be on-site prior to delivery. Our driver can place them if requested.
Gravel Foundation: We recommend extending your gravel pad 2′ wider and 2′ longer than your shed size, using 3–4″ of compacted gravel. Road base or any material that compacts well works best. Avoid loose gravel such as creek rock.
Concrete Slab: Pour your slab the same size as your shed to ensure a clean fit and smooth installation.
Blocks or Pavers: Space blocks or pavers 4–6′ apart under each skid. (Ask your Yoder’s sales rep for exact skid count and placement details.)
Yes, it’s best for you (or someone you authorize) to be present. Our delivery driver will walk you through the placement options, confirm access, and ensure your shed is positioned exactly where you want it before leveling and setup.
Yes, in most cases. If the structure is in good condition and accessible, we can move it for a fee. Contact our team with the shed’s dimensions, current location, and destination so we can confirm availability and provide a quote.
We deliver throughout the entire state of Colorado and beyond — including southern WY, Western KS, & Northern NM. If you’re outside our free delivery range, contact us and we will provide a mileage quote to get your building delivered affordably.
We include up to one hour of leveling during delivery to ensure your shed sits solid and square. If your site requires additional block placement or ground adjustment beyond that hour, extra leveling time is billed at $100 per hour. Time is calculated beginning when the shed is removed from the trailer. The customer is responsible for providing the materials needed to level the shed.
